The "Ampere" graphics architecture debuts the second generation of NVIDIA's ambitious RTX real-time raytracing technology that combines raytraced elements with conventional raster 3D to significantly improve realism. The idea is to outclass the RX 6700 XT and make up ground lost to the RX 6800. Slightly higher GPU clock speeds wrap things up. This in itself is a 35% increase in memory bandwidth even if the memory size remains the same at 8 GB. Next, NVIDIA gave the memory sub-system a major boost by giving this card 19 Gbps GDDR6X memory instead of the 14 Gbps GDDR6 on the RTX 3070. First, the RTX 3070 Ti maxes out the GA104 chip, enabling all 6,144 CUDA cores physically present as opposed to the 5,888 on the RTX 3070-a 4% increase. NVIDIA attempted to set the RTX 3070 Ti apart from the RTX 3070 without significantly increasing manufacturing costs (i.e., without having to tap into the larger GA102 silicon). Some tests, like black uniformity and color accuracy, may vary between individual units.The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is among a two-part refresh by NVIDIA for the higher-end of its GeForce RTX 30-series "Ampere" product stack, with the other being the RTX 3080 Ti we reviewed last week.

We tested the Razer Bl(model RZ09-0427) with an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti discrete GPU, 16GB of memory, and 1TB of storage. All three GPUs have a TGP (Total Graphics Power) of 100W. All three models have the same CPU, memory, and storage configuration. The other two models have a 1440p 165Hz display paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti or 3080 Ti.

The base model has a 1080p 144Hz display paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060. Razer offers only three pre-determined configurations. Our Razer Blade 14 has an AMD Ryen 9 6900HX CPU, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti discrete GPU, 16GB of memory, and 1TB of storage. The Razer Blade 14 competes directly with the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2022). However, Razer upgraded the CPU to the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX with DDR5 memory and replaced the RTX 30 with the 3070 Ti and 3080 Ti. The 2022 model retains the same display options as its predecessor, as well as the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU option.
It replaces the Razer Blade 14 from 2021 with an AMD Ryzen 5900HX CPU paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 3070, or 3080 GPU. It's the smallest model of the Razer Blade lineup, with the other two being the Razer Blade 15 and 17. The Razer Blade 14 (2022) is a premium thin and light gaming laptop.
